I have swapped my $400 recorder for this app because of its pause feature. When you quit talking, it automatically stops till you start again. Not a cheap app but well worth the money.

I find dictamus easy to use, helpful for my business and an all around solid product. Very happy with the functionality too!

I use to record for files my interviews. I use this send memos and instructions to my files and staff. I use this to draft letters. This app is fantastic and better than a dictaphone. It handles huge files with ease. I can send detailed instructions from the beach, the pool, the ski hill.... Love it!

I am a very busy medical specialist. For me to take time out to write this five-star review should go to show how amazing I think this App is. Superior voice quality, seamless integration with dropbox, and the ability to dictate anywhere on my iPhone mean that I prefer this app tenfold over my $400 Phillips speechMike Pro.

Brilliant update to what is easily the best dictation solution out there. I have to say, though, the old icon was a lot nicer. UPDATE: iPhone 5 support (finally!) is a very welcome upgrade, and the waveform display is a cool feature, too. All in all, still the best dictation solution—on the iPhone or anywhere else, including dedicated hardware. The icon is still ugly, though.

The audio capabilities are what you would expect for a caliber dictaphone program. Voice activation is very good as well as the audio controls. The real strength is in the back end handling of the audio files, the effective compression and the multiple ways it can connect and transmit them. Very well done.

This app delivers the goods. It is stable, easy to use; and mostly allows you to email dictations without having to suscribe their website and pay monthly fees. Simply the best and most versatile dictation app.

I am a lawyer who dictates regularly. Recently I got so fed up with my analog dictaphone constantly running out of batteries and the tapes never working properly. I checked the App Store and found this app. LOVE IT. Solved my problems and works like a charm. We purchase an inexpensive USB foot pedal and compatible software for $30 off the Internet. Dictamus technical support were amazing-- they answered my emails promptly. App works perfectly. Best $16.99 spent! Totally recommend

I think this is the best of the recording apps. I must have tried 5 others. The good: -easy to use -sharing and downloading your files -many options and settings -speed adjustments for playback while maintaining the same pitch of the original speed. Great for practicing my sax to my recorded band music. I can play the difficult parts back at 75% speed and play along. Places for improvement: -needs the ability to sort recordings -needs folders to organize my recordings -would like to have greater ability to adjust the speed of recordings -would like the ability to export multiple recordings at once -would like the ability to add a description to my bookmarks and maybe the ability to add notes and photos. -price could come down a bit unless the above features or added.

Ive paid $500 or more for dictation systems over the years, none of which is as good as Dictamus.

This app has never lost any of my recordings even when phone dies. Love it. Could do faster job of compressing- what about compressing during recording (or pauses in recording).

Privacy is also important to me and this app does encryption of dictation very easily.

I have used this app since it first came out. Its main benefits over Apples Dictaphone is that you can record for much longer. I have recorded 90+ minute yoga sessions with this app, to practice at home and it works perfectly. Saving long recordings takes a while, though (like about one third of the recorded time). However, this can be done at any time. I have never lost a recording. Transfer over wi-fi, using a browser, works as expected. Great great app.

Its ease of use and flexibility as to how dictations are stored or shared are great. Perfect for a busy lawyer and mother! Highly recommended.

I get this error message when trying to connect this app to Dropbox. Please fix. Thanks.

I am also getting this message when trying to re-setup Dropbox on iOS 8 with this app. Need to get this bug fixed asap. It worked fine with iOS 7.
